Bhutan Climate

Bhutan is blessed with four distinct seasons, namely spring, summer, autumn and winter. The southern foothills have a relatively moderate climate but as you progress higher the variation is more evident.

Spring (late March, April & May) and Autumn (late September, October & November) are the best seasons to visit Bhutan owing to pleasant weather and also Bhutanese religious festivals called Tshechus and Dromchoes take place during this periods.

Winter (December to mid March) blankets the mighty Himalayas with snow in the north yet the central valleys and southern foothills remain open largely unaffected. Summer (June, July & August) brings forth the legendary monsoon, yet the period also offers fresh pristine views and other attractions. Hence Bhutan is a year long destination.
